VIC: Kennett urges cooperative line on heroin trial

MELBOURNE, Feb 21 AAP - Victorian Premier Jeff Kennett said today he would continue to
lobby for a national heroin trial despite Prime Minister John Howard saying he would never
embrace the concept.

"We have got to articulate our case and try through the weight of debate and solid
argument, convince those who might be concerned," Mr Kennett told reporters.

"I hope the debate will continue and I hope it won't be an issue of them against us."
