NSW: 21 year old man in serious condition after fall from ride

A 21-year-old man is in a serious but stable condition in hospital after falling from
an amusement park ride on the New South Wales central coast last night.

Police say the 21-year-old man boarded the Hurricane ride at the Glenworth Valley Music
Festival shortly after 7 o'clock.

His first ride ended without incident but, police say, he switched seats with a companion
just as their second ride began.

They say he fell from the car and hit his head on the external fuel tank of a prime
mover the ride was attached to.

The man was airlifted to Gosford Hospital, and later transferred to St George Hospital in Sydney.

Police and Workcover authorities are investigating the incident.
