'LITTLE WOMEN' SHINES WITH BRIGHT, YOUNG CAST.(Preview)

ALBANY -- Louisa May Alcott has been getting more than her due on local stages this month.

On Sunday, Schenectady Civic Players closed a wonderful staging of "Little Women," which hinged on telling the tale of the March sisters in song.

That piece, directed by Duncan Morrison, used an adaptation by Allan Knee, Jason Howland and Mindi Dickstein.

Currently, Confetti Stage is also offering a production of Alcott's most famous work at Albany Masonic Hall on Corning Place.

This production, directed by Steve Suriano, uses an adaptation by Peter Clapham, and it is a straight dramatic interpretation of the first book of Alcott's two-volume set. …
